"The Apples are chosen!"

The Apples have been Chosen!

Following my previous post of October 6, 2012 - I now present to you the photos of the apples I will be drawing, painting, sculpting, and analysing...



Chosen Apples - Final Oct 11, 2012

 

I chose these images for the following reasons:

A.  I picked the apples myself and wanted a personal connections to the subject I would be studying.

B.  I wanted 5 different compositions:

1. A single Apple (The perfect apple).
2. 2 Apples (a couple)
3. 2 Apples - one whole and one cut
4. A small grouping
5. A Large grouping (Nature morte composition)

Please comment on the photos and I am open to any suggestions:

In the upcoming week, I will eandeavour drawing Apple 1. with graphite, charcoal /conte / chalk-pastels, coloring pencils, ink and marker.  The idea is to study the first image deeply to understand the structure of the object and it's the potential representation.
